| About the Workshop |
Even the most passionate of yoga teachers go through periods where it feels like our inspiration is drying up.
This weekend retreat is designed for teachers seeking to recharge and refresh our practice and teaching through the gifts of Bhakti Yoga, the art of the heart.
We will spend three days joyfully cultivating a deeper relationship with the Muses through ecstatic interactive chanting, dancing, storytelling, mythology, bhaktiful asana practice with live music, journaling, mystical poetry, and enchanting kirtan with Sean, percussionist Gwendolyn Colman, and bass player Alvin Young.
Includes chanting and basic harmonium lessons with Sean; rhythm and drumplay with Gwendolyn; an exploration of the archetypes of gods and goddesses and guidance on how to bring more bhakti into your life, practice, and teaching.
Please come ready to play with magic markers, sketchbook, a journal, and one or more special objects for creating a community altar. Sign Up. |

| About Sean Johnson |
 |
| Kirtan artist and yoga teacher Sean Johnson is the founder of Wild Lotus Yoga in New Orleans as well as Soul School, an interdisciplinary yoga and spirituality teacher training program that focuses on bringing soul and imagination to the art of teaching yoga. Sean’s teaching seeks to weave the emotional power of bhakti yoga with the sensuality of hatha yoga to free the spirit and bring more love, creativity, and depth to our lives. Sean And The Wild Lotus Band - Gwendolyn Colman and Alvin Young- teach and play at venues worldwide including major yoga conferences, retreat centers, yoga festivals, and studios small and large. Their latest album Devaloka on Nettwerk/Nutone Records, home of Krishna Das and Jai Uttal, has become a favorite in the yoga community. Sean and the band love Ojai and are grateful and happy to be a part of the Lulu Bandha's and Ojai Yoga Crib family. |
