The Crib weekend happens all around the valley at some of our most spectaular and sacred venues. You are responsible for your own accommodations. If you stay in town, you will not need a car. Most of the venues are within walking distance of Crib HQ which is right in the middle of town. We use school busses to transport you to the workshops that happen in venues in the hills. |
 |
Class sizes range from 20 to 60 depending on the venue and teachers. We do our best to handcraft your schedule to ensure a combination of intimate close practices along side full vibrant high octane gatherings, simultanously doing our best to help you experience a range of venues. |

Ojai is located in Southern California, about 90 minutes north of Los Angeles and 45 minutes southeast of Santa Barbara. Yogis travel from as far away as Shanghi, the UK, Canada and Peru for the Crib. Some just have to walk out their front door. Google Map |

| Nearest Airports |
The Santa Barbara Aiport is the most conveinent, restful and usually most highly priced airport to fly into. |
Burbank Airport, aka "The Bob Hope Airport," is a sweet spot to land. About 15 minutes closer to Ojai than LAX, the tone of the airport is much groovier. |
LAX, just south of Santa Monica in Los Angeles, usually has the best deals. |
| Travel From the Airports |
| Rental Cars |
Most people flying into Southern California rent cars from the airport as they provide the most flexibility once you are here. The Car is an extension of one's individual freedom and spirit in Southern California, and the public transportation system has been neglected for a long time. However, you do not need a car once you are here, and there are creative alternatives. |

 |
| 1. Why is it called "The Crib"? |
We picked “Crib” to describe the event because we liked the
idea of a safe nurturing place in which to grow and play and practice with your friends.
The arms of the Padre National Forest cradle the valley in a crib-like
way, nurturing and supporting our practice. Usually gatherings of this sort
take place in ballrooms of giant hotels in urban centers and are called yoga conferences. |
| 2. Is it just for advanced yoga students? |
No. While some yoga experience is recommended (6 months of regular
practice), all these teachers are skilled at presenting workshops that
will be digestible and inspiring for all levels. Five 2.5-hour workshops over the course of a weekend can sound intimidating, but within the workshops
and among the various teachers, the physical practice will be mixed with breath work, meditation, chanting and dharma talks. So you do not have to “get
in shape” for the weekend. Just show up with an open heart and all
will follow. |
| 3. Can I just take a few classes, or do I need to do the whole thing? |
The Crib is a complete experience and it is not possible to take classes
a
la carte. We sell one ticket. If you then choose to only take some of
your classes, that is at your discretion, but no refund or discount will be granted. |
| 4. Can I take all my classes with the same teacher? |
No. Part of the design and fun of the Crib is to practice with different wonderful teachers. Also, to help ensure that everybody gets to take with the teachers
they want, each student is only allowed one workshop with each teacher. We can help you pick the teachers that are best for you. |
| 5. I am coming with a group of friends, can our schedules be coordinated? |
Of course! Just let us know your needs and we will do our best to weave you together. The sooner you sign up the easier it is to meet your request. |
6. How soon should I sign up?
|
The last six years of the Crib have been full. We reccommend securing your spot early. |
