Video Help
Below is a list of common questions and solutions to possible mischief that may arise as you are trying to watch class videos. |
There's No Video
Do not be afraid to refresh your browser. Sometimes that just works. To watch video, you need the latest Flash Player and a broadband connection. Please contact us if it still does not work.
There's No Audio
The video often starts playing before the audio. The audio does not start until Kira turns the microphone on, usually just before class is about to begin. Be sure to check the volume on your computer and speaker connection.
Where are the Player Controls?
The player controls are embedded in the video. If you scroll your mouse on top of the video, they will appear.
How do I view in go Full Screen?
In the Player Controls, there is a "full-screen-like" icon to the left, next to the volume control. Click on this. Click on it again to return it to original size.
How do I prevent my screen saver from kicking in while watching?
|
You need to change the settings of your screen saver. On a Mac, go the Apple icon > System Preferences > Energy Saver (the lightbulb icon). Move the display screen controller to the right past 1.5 hours.
|
Sometimes the Screen seems to freeze.
When there is very little movement like in the opening seated meditation or savasana, the picture will not move. It will move again once there is more dramatic movement.
Sometimes the Audio seems to stop.
We are not sure why this happens. But it usually rights itself with a little toggling of the video player scroller.
How do I jump ahead in the video?
Hitting play begins the download of the video. The download is not instant and you can only scroll ahead to what has already been downloaded. One technique is to start the play of the video, then once the time counter starts, hit pause and keep the window open. The video will continue to download. This will then allow you to scroll ahead as far as the scroll bar has darkened, indicating that it has been downloaded thus far.
How do I stop the video and pick up where I left off?
Each time you load the page, the video starts to be downloaded. If you navigate away from the page, you will need to start it over. If you hit "stop," the video will start over. Hitting the "pause" button will pause play but allow the video to continue to download. This will allow you start up where you left off. Leave the window open.
