Abhyasa: Late Afternoon Propped Backbending. 50 minute Yoga Video.
This slow moving sequence is designed to prepare and open the body for some easy propped backbending.
Supported backbending is a sweet counter pose to a day spent in a chair or car. The discs can be squeezed in the opposite direction with very little effort.
You will need a bolster, a blanket, two blocks and a long strap (at least 8").
With attention to opening up the front thighs, hips, side waist and chest, we move through a short series of standing postures and lunges.
Then we feel our way within and through a sequence of suported backbends to nourish the spine without too much effort.
We unwind with easy country shoulderstand, aka viparitta karni, and a gentle lying spinal twist.
Sequence includes savasana and a short sit.
Once purchased, abhyasa video will appear in "My Lulu Library" in the "Navigation" menu on the Left.
