So my last blog....

Was only half of what I intended. Im a bit uninitiated in the Cyber Arts so I accidentally posted the first half of an idea. So,heres the second half of the blathering.... So with Plato, our journey to the real is guided from another. A person who is already liberated brings to us the idea that we are bound in unreal. Also, he explains how the two worlds are separate from one another. The Bhagavad Gita, another well known allegory, gives us another look.  Read more »

A Thanksgiving Prayer

Thank you for my voice, and the power to create Thank you for my ears, and the power of listening Thank you for the food that nourishes my body Thank you for the intentions that frame my mind Thank you for the emptiness I may choose to fill The canvas I can paint in the boldest colors I desire   May I always know that this or that thing will not finally make everything -just right- Conditions are superfluous--always changing The deepest part of my being knows I always have the choice to choose this moment Read more »

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

Hello All! I just wanted to thank everyone involved with the Crib this year sooo much! Whether you worked it or just attended it, you added to the great time immensely! I had an absolutely wonderful time thanks to ALL of you! And although I'm literally just now recovering and catching up on my sleep since I put so much out there and burnt the candle at both ends last week, it was very worth it! What an awesome group and a great event! I look forward to next year! So...until we meet again :-)   Don

so excited!

I am so excited for California and a yoga retreat.  I will be working on the crew!   I have been working a lot here in Washington DC - both a graphics design day job as well as teaching five - seven yoga classes per week.  So, I am looking forward to refilling the well and getting some good practice in.   love,   Michelle   (Ramona is my cat's name.)

Why make it more difficult?

The Work to Relax

I was skyping with a dear one this morning and he was saying: I wish I could have a job that's more relaxing--like teaching yoga. I smiled and said, yeah... Well, it takes a lot of diligence to be relaxed. I have to return to my own practice again and again to relax into the moments as they come. There is always something fresh that awaits if you are available to meet it; and the more relaxed you learn to be, the more available you are. Read more »
