A Thanksgiving Prayer
|
Thank you for my voice, and the power to create Thank you for my ears, and the power of listening Thank you for the food that nourishes my body Thank you for the intentions that frame my mind Thank you for the emptiness I may choose to fill The canvas I can paint in the boldest colors I desire
May I always know that this or that thing will not finally make everything -just right- Conditions are superfluous--always changing The deepest part of my being knows I always have the choice to choose this moment Not the moment in which this or that thing finally arrives For the arrival of the exact conditions of my long anticipated flourishing will undoubtedly not bring the happiness I imagine. Only this stillness This unadulterated emptiness will fill me so I am full Waiting for everything and nothing in particular
