Liquid Bliss class sequence 6.1.10
|
Wow! I taught my first class at Lulu's in a long time on Tuesday. I was nervous and excited about it, which I will get into in a later blog. For now, I will just share the sequence I led the class through. The emphasis was finding each mini-edge, each little barrier as we journeyed into the deeper stretch, with a pause between to tune into the effects. Though my postures are not "proper" yin postures (as I am having folks wiggle/move and go step by step), for ease of explanation, I will call them yin. Mini-yin refers to just touching on the 1.5 to 2 minute connective tissue stretch barrier.
Seated awareness Arm extended neck stretch left Trunk sidebend stretch left (mini-yin) Repeat right Extend legs dandasana Switch cross of legs, seated forward bend Hands behind back chest arch Roll to tabletop Cat/cow--transition to funky cat/cow Childs--reach through one arm/hip--repeat both sides Yin lunge left Extend to hams stretch Repeat Yin lunge seq. right Yin swan left introduce occasional active belly/legs Yin swan right Seated bent knee ab awareness-->roll back to supine using abs Bridge arms overhead with breath X3 Supine 3 way hams (Mini-Yin straight, 1 min to each side) with strap, awareness on active vs. passive leg Bent knee twist Savasana Mini seated awareness Namaste
