Its true. This training does “take the mystery out and keep the magic in”. One place this shines bright for me is the technique of building and sequencing around a peak pose.

I think it is interesting to deconstruct a pose, and figure out what postures open the body AND mind in preparation, as well as what would feel good to land. Its like a yoga Leggoland and it encourages creative strategic thinking. Call me a nerd if you will, but for me sequencing and theming a class is great fun!

I found an expanded idea about asana, and how poses can be accessed and illunmnated in infinite ways. It peeled back a new layer of freedom for me, further exposed the “myth of the pose”, and opens a new enthusiasm and freshness for the practice.

Mystery out, magic in. WAY in.

Day Three:

Partner hip openers at wall. I really like this idea for peeps that opt out of the regular class to give them something to do.

Discussion: Yoga IS relationship. J. Kramer’s article. Sutra 1.1. Peak pose and sequencing, myth of the pose. Yoga carries the teaching (so just start teaching). YIN? Moi?

Practice: Creating Memories. Used the strap on the feet, ankles, and the brick to find room in tadasana, lunges,  Kira also referenced the brick in the heart from yesterday’s practice. Looking at bodies is always useful. I am diving deeper in seeing areas of holding but still uncomfortable with assisting. "How does it FEEL" will be my guide.

Savasana adjustments. YUM.
