The only thing greater than taking the Lulu Teacher Training is attending a second time! Even in this first evening I feel another layer enriching my yoga practice. In my role as assistant, I get the opportunity to learn not only how to teach yoga, but how to teach people to teach yoga. Triangulating information presents a new view and I'm thrilled and grateful to be sitting in this space. I've been looking forward to this for months, and now that it is here I'm not sure what to expect. So I do what I've learned to do, and that is to show up as open as possible. In preparation for the kick off this evening I clipped a fragrant rose from my garden for the Lulu altar, slid my great-grandmother's pearl and diamond ring on my pinky, and prayed for guideance for this new chapter in teaching yoga.
Assignment #1..the YIN sequence Kira presented tonight:
Baddha Konasana Swan (offered traditional or at the wall) windshield wiper yang locust play sphinx twist (eagle legs option) nostril breathing exercise savasana
And now to bed with my little dog Lucy to read our assignment from the manual.
Namaste
