Connective tissue and emotions

Hi! A recent blog by one of our overseas yogis inspired me to post a forum topic about the connective tissue and emotions of the body and how we as yogis can access the emotions in our practice. I was delighted to see that another yogi was musing about the same thing, and thought, "There must be more of us out there. Let's share ideas!" Here is the blog post I am referring to.
It's a well known phenomenon that people have emotions pop up during practice from time to time, as well as during bodywork sessions. As a self-proclaimed connective tissue and bodywork geek, I am really interested in exploring how to facilitate accessing these stuck and hidden parts of ourselves more effectively through our yoga practice. I welcome feedback and ideas about this topic.

Yes, me too - would love to hear how others facilitate release of accumulated emotions........
But for now would like to share some of my experiences - I feel excited to be passing on this info, which I have found very valuable in my own work both as a Yoga Teacher and a Craniosacral Therapist -
Last week I returned from a 4-day Continuum workshop in Wales - focusing on the breath and particular sounds and movements which facilitate softening of the deep tensions held in the tissues - many useful insights during that time - but what fascinated me was how these sounds and small, micro-movements facilitated a deeper softening than I have ever experienced during all my years of Yoga (about 20), and movement experience.
Perhaps I was just ready and open to experience this level of surrender - but I also think Continuum is a very subtle and profound therapy - anyone that is in anyway serious about facilitating release either for their students or their clients should explore this practice for themselves - particularly to learn how to do this in a safe way.
I am so jealous that you guys over there have on your doorstep the 'discoverer' of Continuum - Emilie Conrad D'oud - she has worked a lot with those in paralysis, helping them find ways back to recovery, and is really a pioneer in this field.
She teaches in Santa Monica, though there seem to be loads of others in California, so you should easily find a teacher near enough.
Perhaps Kira would like to invite me over to teach and share my experience of unfolding these practices, and others similiar, and how they relate to Yoga? I'd love to talk to you about this possibility and share my accumulated knowledge through my years of training in Yoga, Authentic Movement, Homeopathy, Dancing The Rainbow and Cranio-sacral Therapy - I get so excited by the potential of unfolding ourselves through deep ease in our Yoga and would love to experience this participatory exploration with ye guys if that appeals in any way.
Be well,
Deirdre
