At Lulu Bandha's, we are in the practice of recording our yoga class sequences. We are grateful to Swami Schiffmann for pointing us in this direction. The yoga class is a temporary mystical space. We might arrive with a loose plan, but who shows up determines what gets taught. And often the group's intention polishes us. Within the yoga class, ideas and teachings seem to come through more clearly and truthfully. And if we are lucky, Yoga might even happen.
The practice of recording the class can have the following results: • Connects you to what you are actually teaching. • Creates a collection and memory of asana patterns, instructions, insights and results. • Reduces need to prepare complete sequences pre-class. • Strengthens trust with Inner Guidance while teaching. • Cultivates comfort with spontaneous sequencing. • If shared, provides blueprints and maps for newer teachers • If shared, helps students remember what they did in class
For the last three years, we have been posting our classes on our individual blogs. We are making an effort to start to collect them here as a resource. We hope you will share your classes as well.
