This slow moving 50 minute sequence is designed to prepare and open the body for some easy propped backbending.

Supported backbending is a sweet counter pose to a day spent in a chair or car. The discs can be squeezed in the opposite direction with very little effort.

You will need a bolster, a blanket, two blocks and a long strap (at least 8").

With attention to opening up the front thighs, hips, side waist and chest, we move through a short series of standing postures and lunges.

Then we feel our way within and through a sequence of suported backbends to nourish the spine without too much effort.

We unwind with easy country shoulderstand, aka viparitta karani, and a gentle lying spinal twist.

Sequence includes savasana and a short sit.

Once purchased, abhyasa video will appear in "My Lulu Library."

after sitting at a desk all day this abhyasa is heaven!!

Troubleshooting Video Playback Mischief

  • Download the latest version of Firefox and restart your computer.
  • Download the latest Flash Player.
  • A slow connection will affect video playback. Allowing the video to "load" before viewing can help smooth this out. Here are the steps:
    - Press "Play" and allow the video to roll for a few moments.
    - Then, press "Pause" and allow the video to "load" before hitting "Play" again.
    - You will know the video is "loading" as the bar to the right of the play button darkens gray.
    - This will also give you the option to scroll forward and back more easily.
