Help of Ojai Yoga Program
In 2007, Tucker Adams invited several of the teachers of Lulu Bandha's to join her in developing a yoga program for Help of Ojai. Help of Ojai is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in need. Our yoga classes focus on serving the senior population, offering 6 week courses for $30. The age range of our participants is 50 to 90. The only requirement for attendance is the ability to get up and down off the floor.

We offer two classes a week:
1. A Level 1 Gentle Introductory Class
2. A Level 2 Continuing Class

We are realizing that we need a Level 1.5 class as the Level 2 peeps have taken off and the Level 1 Class is overfull with new peeps. Again, the continual lesson is that there are more people who are new to yoga than not and offering introductory easy classes is key for spreading these gifts.

If you are interested in serving this population, Tucker will be offering a training this fall. The dates are October 1 - 3, 2010. More details to be posted. Connect in for more information.

Access to a bolster, a few blankets, a strap and a wall recommended.

Troubleshooting Video Playback Mischief

  • Download the latest version of Firefox and restart your computer.
  • Download the latest Flash Player.
  • A slow connection will affect video playback. Allowing the video to "load" before viewing can help smooth this out. Here are the steps:
    - Press "Play" and allow the video to roll for a few moments.
    - Then, press "Pause" and allow the video to "load" before hitting "Play" again.
    - You will know the video is "loading" as the bar to the right of the play button darkens gray.
    - This will also give you the option to scroll forward and back more easily.
  • Report Problem to the Help Duck.
