Troubleshooting Video Playback Mischief
- Download the latest version of Firefox and restart your computer.
- Download the latest Flash Player.
- A slow connection will affect video playback. Allowing the video to "load" before viewing can help smooth this out. Here are the steps:
- Press "Play" and allow the video to roll for a few moments.
- Then, press "Pause" and allow the video to "load" before hitting "Play" again.
- You will know the video is "loading" as the bar to the right of the play button darkens gray.
- This will also give you the option to scroll forward and back more easily.
- Report Problem to the Help Duck.

Hi Kira,
I didn't think this was boring - and your sense of humor kept them moving along! Sometimes, I think we seem boring to ourselves; it seems like we are saying the same thing over and over. Several of us instructors here have spoken about that - how we sound like 'broken records' to ourselves as we teach. This is especially the case, I think, with more beginning students - or classes where you get new folks all the time - we have to repeat so much! And as we all know, students don't really "hear" it at first - for the more subtle aspects, it takes hearing and experiencing it over and over until one day - ah ha - they get it. I'm not sure students see, hear or find the repetition as boring, really. Often, it appears that they are relieved, in a sense, having done something before - they have a comfort zone with repetition!
Hey - just a few thoughts from the mid-section of the country! Ohio is pretty boring, though!!! (-:
