Teaching Yoga, Side A with Kira Ryder
Teaching Yoga, Side A is one of the main modules in our 200-hour yoga school program. This is a clip from June 2008.

In this clip, we have just discussed, "The Myth of the Pose," and we begin to get into looking at different ideas of alignments. We specifically look at Warrior 2 (Virabhadrasana II), Triangle (Trikonasana) and Side Angle (Parsvakonasana).

One of the main goals of the Teacher Training is to help us learn to look and feel. If we can look at a person's posture and see where they might need more space or stability, we can offer more accurate and appropriate alignment cues rather than simply pass on rumors. If we can feel these stuck or straining places in ourselves, we can discover the alignment from within and possibility transmit that ability to others.

About Lulu Bandha's Yoga School

Yoga_School

Established in March 2002, Lulu Bandha's is a community of blossoming yogis tuning into their own alignment. We are not committed to one particular style, rather we are interested in offering techniques that might help you relax into yourself.

We believe that the best way to learn how to teach yoga is to start teaching yoga. The authentic inspiration to share and connect with others will naturally guide you. However, we also know that deepening the understanding through trainings and workshops with yogis already on the path can help grow the heart, strengthen the confidence and connect you with a supportive community. We are a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance. Read more about Lulu Bandha's Yoga School.
