Chakra and Meridian Workshop with Paul and Suzee Grilley
This footage is from a 5 day Chakra and Meditation Workshop in January 2007 at Lulu Bandha's with Paul and Suzee Grilley.
In this clip, Paul Grilley offers that we do Chakra Meditation to become more sensitive to the dormant karmas that lie within us. His suggestion is that if we become aware of these dormant karmas while they are still seeds, we can more easily handle them and they will hurt less, than if we remain unconscious and allow them to grow into big trees. The propose of clearing our personal karma is so that we break the cycle of "involuntary, unconscious incarnation" and can return in compassionate service for the freedom of our fellows. "With true wisdom comes a dawning of great compassion."
Referring to the stories in the Mahabharata, the Bhagavad Gita and the teachings of Dr. Motoyama and others, Paul begins to lay out a framework in which we can begin to better understand the complexity karma.
The format is a lecture and there are some questions from the group that Paul addresses. Please keep in mind that this is just a clip from a 5 day workshop, and not all topics presented will feel as flushed out as they were in the workshop. We reccommend attending a training with Paul. His Chakra Theory and Meditation DVD is a great resource.
About Lulu Bandha's Yoga School
|
Established in March 2002, Lulu Bandha's is a community of blossoming yogis tuning into their own alignment. We are not committed to one particular style, rather we are interested in offering techniques that might help you relax into yourself.
We believe that the best way to learn how to teach yoga is to start teaching yoga. The authentic inspiration to share and connect with others will naturally guide you. However, we also know that deepening the understanding through trainings and workshops with yogis already on the path can help grow the heart, strengthen the confidence and connect you with a supportive community. We are a Registered Yoga School with the Yoga Alliance.
